Our commitment
ChargeSecured is used by merchants and their staff at the register, on the floor, and in the back office. The site and the merchant portal should work for everyone who needs them, whatever device, assistive technology, or input method they use. We treat accessibility as a property of the product, not a project, and we fix what is reported.
The standard we work toward
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We do not claim full conformance today. This statement lists what is in place and what is not, and is updated as the site changes.
What is in place
- Structure. Every page uses semantic headings, landmarks, and lists, so screen readers can navigate by section.
- Keyboard. Navigation, buttons, forms, the merchant switcher on the homepage (implemented as tabs), and the reason-code filters are operable from the keyboard, with a visible focus state.
- Text alternatives. The canvas illustrations on the homepage and solution pages are decorative and carry text labels; the information they show is repeated in text beside them. Diagrams are inline SVG with a descriptive label.
- Charts. Every chart on the Data page has a table view with the same figures.
- Colour. Colour is never the only carrier of meaning. Red and green states are always accompanied by a label.
- Type. Text scales with browser settings, uses relative sizes, and loads with system fallbacks if web fonts are unavailable.
- Forms. Fields carry visible labels, and errors are announced in text next to the field.
Known limitations
- Homepage animation. The scroll-driven story on the homepage is an animated canvas. It does not yet offer a reduced-motion alternative; the same content is available in text on the Product and Data pages, and the "Skip the story" control in the navigation jumps past it.
- Merchant illustrations. The isometric scenes on the homepage and solution pages are animated. They are decorative and pause when scrolled out of view, but do not yet respond to the reduced-motion preference.
- Merchant portal. The portal's dashboard and register screens are being reviewed against the same standard. Report anything that blocks you and we will prioritize it.
Feedback
If any part of the site or the portal is difficult to use, tell us through the contact form with the page and the assistive technology involved. We reply within one business day and will provide the information in another form on request.
Third-party content, including fonts served by Google Fonts, is outside our direct control; we choose providers whose services are broadly accessible.
